Above is a collage of Harley Fancher, explaining the history of the Old Fancher Cemetery inventory, area history and cemetery history. Harley and Burr both did and excellant job of explaining the history of the area.
Looking east from the Old Fancher Cemetery one of these mountains is Fancher Mountain?
Kit Carson Fancher is buried here in the Old Fancher Cemetery. It is unknown as to the actual location as his grave is unmarked. He became ill was attended to in the home across the street from the cemetery and passed away at the age of 21 years in 1878. (New Marker)
