| Well you know that was a horrible tragedy that occurred after we (Mormons) had been persecuted in Missouri and Illinois. What they fail to tell you is about the Mormons breaking the law every place they went. This has been well documented by Brigham Young University, researchers (read about the Danites). |

| They may also use the brutal murder of the Mormon Martyr, Apostle Parley Pratt, in Arkansas, which happened just prior to the Fancher Wagon Trains arrival in Utah. The Mormon's will obviously avoid telling about the reason for the Apostle Pratt's demise. The "assailant" was none other than Hector H. McLean, the HUSBAND of a woman that Parley seduced into being his NINTH polygamous wife. It turns out that basically Mr. Pratt got what he deserved and was acquitted by a jury in a court of law. | Most organized religions have dirty linen in their closet, but none has spent more time and resources in trying to tidy up than the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In the case of the Mountain Meadows Massacre the Church's leaders are getting in over their heads. The late Church President Gordon B. Hinckley, stated at Mountain Meadows in 1999 that the guilty party was tried and found guilty of the crime and that Brigham Young had nothing to do with the massacre. That guilty party was John D. Lee, a danite and the adopted son of the Prophet. Twenty years after the massacre Lee was executed by firing squad in Mountain Meadows, Utah. When he spoke at Mountain Meadows, Hinckley and the Church were so paranoid that he had several body guards and a sharp shooter with him. |

| The Church will tell you how much control Brigham Young had over the Theocracy, however the Church's stance is that Brigham Young had absolutely nothing to do with the massacre! According to the Church's account President Young was deaf, dumb and stupid to events just prior to the Mountain Meadows Massacre. The LDS Church has knowingly sponsored, endorsed, and forever immortalized this butcher into history. |

Brigham Young's desecration of the Rock Cairn and Cedar Cross. I have never heard an excuse for this one. The original Rock Cairn and Cross were desecrated by Brigham Young on May 25, 1861 as recorded in church historian and forth President of the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS, Wilford Woodruffs diary. The Tyrannical Prophet Brigham Young stated at the time of the desecration; "Vengeance is mine and I have had a little." The Rock Cairn was leveled to the ground, with the turn of the hand of the Prophet according to the eyewitnes account of Dudley Leavitt. |

On the sick side, there are believe it or not, members of the LDS Church that will tell you to your face that those people of the Fancher Wagon Train deserved to die.
DOES ANY OF THE ABOVE EXCUSES JUSTIFY THE COWARDLY, BRUTAL KILLING OF OVER 120 UNARMED MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN COLD BLOOD?
"Even giving Young the benefit of the doubt about the massacre, his actions after the massacre were inexcusable. A "man of God" would have deplored the murders loudly and with great publicity, would have actively pursued everyone involved, would have seen that justice was served, by finding and arresting the many dozens of men involved in the mass murder of innocents.
Instead, Brigham Young desecrated their memories by scattering the stones of their memorial, and only then making his statement about finally getting some vengence. The Mormon Church doesn't dispute these facts.
