Frank Kirkman's Mountain Meadows Massacre Site
MEMORIAL WAGON TRAIN TRAIL RIDE
The Mountain Meadows Monument Foundation will host a memorial wagon train trail ride on September 11, 2007, commemorating the 150th anniversary of the massacre.
We have updated the the event to be a short, symbolic wagon train from Dan Sill parking lot to the grave parking lot.  The logistics of pulling together a wagon trip such as the one in Arkansas was impossible.
One wagon and a couple of horses to carry the U.S. and Arkansas flags, with everyone else following on foot carrying the pennants with family names. The procession will end at the Carleton grave where the ceremonies will involve LDS, MMA, MMMD, and MMMF.
The foundation would like to invite as many people that would be willing to bring their horses or wagons and teams to come and be a part or this 150th year Special Memorial Service and Tribute.
Please note you do not have to be a member of the foundation to participate , we invite all riding and wagon clubs in as many states that will come. We especially would like to invite members of other Mountain Meadows Organizations, the Mountain Meadows Association, which is based on the east coast and the newly formed Mountian Meadows Descendants group which is based here in Northwest Arkansas.
