Pictured on the right is Burr Fancher and members of the John Fancher family, Charlotte Hysell, her sister Ellie Porter (Hysell), mother Olive Hysell and their bothers. John Piney Alex Fancher was the Brother of Captain Alexander Fancher, the leader of the massacred wagon train. John Fancher was driving a large heard of cattle on the southern route at the time of the Mountain Meadows Massacre. The Hysell's lineage is as follows: John Piney Alex Fancher - Abner Fancher - Rose Fancher - Ed Hysell. John Fancher had two sons that settled in the Prescott, Area.
Pictured on the right are descendants of Emberson Milum Tackitt, a Mountain Meadows Massacre Suvivior that was a deputy Sheriff in Prescott. He was also the only massacre survivor to re-visit the massacre site.
We are still searching for a photo of Mr. Tackitt so if anyone knows the location of one please notify us.

Pictured on the right are descendants of Emberson Milum Tackitt, a Mountain Meadows Massacre Suvivior that was a deputy Sheriff in Prescott, and was the only massacre survivor to re-visit the massacre site.
Emberson Milum Tackitt was a deputy sheriff in Prescott when sent to quell the range war between the Tewksburys and Grahams in the Tonto Basin (Zane Grey stuff).

Monument Foundation Books on display. These are the binder collections on the bottom of the book list. The collection is very extensive and tells all sides of the events surrounding the Mountain Meadows
Massacre.
