RICHARD HARRISON, a MORMON SHOOTER AND CLUBBER, was 2 nd Lt. in one of the platoons in Cedar City. ; born at Dudley, Worcestershire, England, in 1808, the son of William Harrison and Elizabeth Baker. He resided in Parowan, Iron County were he was a member of the church "high council."
In September 1857, Harrison was a 2 nd Lt. in one of the platoons in Cedar City. According to John D. Lee, Harrison was from Pinto, a member of the high council and in attendance at the military council at Mountain Meadows  on Thursday, September 10. His exact role in the massacre the following
day is unknown. In the 1859 arrest warrant he was listed as simply "Harrison."
